Abrego Perfect for Second Time in a Week

Desi Abrego pitched her second perfect game of the week Saturday to help Saddleback sweep a doubleheader from Edison in nonleague softball.

Abrego and Saddleback (4-0) defeated Edison, 4-0, in the first game. Saddleback won the second, 13-4, as Abrego earned the save.

Abrego (3-0), a junior right-hander, pitched a perfect game Thursday, striking out 14 of a possible 15 batters in 10-0 victory over Magnolia. Abrego pitched a two-hitter and struck out 15 in a 1-0, eight-inning victory over Troy Tuesday.
