Bad weather forced the cancellation of the World Cup downhill race for women in Shizukuishi, Japan. Petra Kronberger, who resumed training only two weeks ago after tearing ligaments in her right knee in a spill at the world championships Jan. 29, maintains her 285-173 lead over French veteran Carole Merle in the overall World Cup standings.
