The Rorabaugh Castle is appalling. (“Millionaire’s Dream Castle Rises on Rancho Santa Fe Hill,” Feb. 10) When the mandatory water restrictions go into effect, I hope they start with the 288,000-gallon swimming pool, the two 90,000-gallon aquariums, and the 50 acres of landscaping.
No mention was made as to how much oil will be used to heat and cool the 32,500 square feet, with 60% of the walls built of glass. You’d think that an inventor and an architect with an unlimited budget would have been more responsible.
