HUNTINGTON BEACH : Lung Assn. Planning Walk ‘N Ride Benefit
The American Lung Assn. of Orange County will sponsor its annual walk and bicycle ride on March 23 to raise funds for health-related programs.
“The Walk ‘N Ride for Clean Air will provide an excellent opportunity for all of us to increase our understanding of the importance of safeguarding our health through the improvement of air quality,” said Rita Smith, chairwoman of the event.
Participants in both the walk and bicycle rides will start between 8 and 11 a.m. in the city’s Central Park. Walks will be for 1, 5 or 10 miles. Bike rides will be for 5, 10, 25 or 50 miles.
Riders and walkers will be asked to pay a registration fee and obtain pledges. Registration and pledge forms may be obtained by calling the association office at (714) 835-5864.
