WORLD IN BRIEF : BRAZIL : Pope Plans to Visit 10 Cities in October

Pope John Paul II will visit 10 cities in October during his second official visit to Brazil, the National Conference of Brazilian Bishops said in Brasilia. The group said that the Pope, who visited nine cities in 11 days in June, 1980, will arrive in the northeastern coastal city of Natal Oct. 12. The pontiff will meet with President Fernando Collor de Mello, as well as Indians, homeless children and lepers.
