WAR IN BRIEF : NETHERLANDS : U.S. Suspends Deal With Dutch Firm

The United States has suspended weapons contracts between American suppliers and Delft Instruments, a Dutch company the U.S. government suspects of illegally shipping night-vision equipment to Iraq, federal officials said. The Pentagon is investigating how Iraq obtained night-vision equipment that contained sensitive parts made by Hughes Aircraft Co. of Los Angeles. Hughes, which is not accused of any violation, sold sensors to Delft. Delft equipment was found at Khafji.
