More Michael: Michael Crawford has extended his tenure as “The Phantom of the Opera” at the Ahmanson Theatre one more month. He now says he’ll stay through April 28. “There are some film projects that I am considering after April, but until then I’ve been having such a good time here I’ve decided to stay for another month,” Crawford said through a spokeswoman. “The Phantom of the Opera” itself is not one of the film projects under consideration; it’s still on hold. Crawford also wants to be in England in May to attend the college graduation of his daughter Lucy. There is no word on who’ll wear the phantom’s mask when Crawford does depart, but tickets are on sale through October.
