Times Names Williams VP for Operations

Michael D. Williams, vice president for systems and administration at the Los Angeles Times, has been named vice president for operations to oversee all production and systems operations at the Times’ facilities in Los Angeles, Orange County and the San Fernando Valley.
Williams, 47, joined the Times in 1987 as director of information systems. He was previously production director at the Pittsburgh Press and has held various positions at Scripps Howard Newspapers.
