Philadelphia officials obtained a court order to force hospitalization of a boy with measles whose parents believe in faith-healing. A doctor who examined the 4-year-old boy in his home advised hospital treatment, and the city’s deputy health commissioner sought a court order after the family refused. Five Philadelphia children have died from complications of measles this year. Doctors visited families from two churches that believe in faith-healing after four children in a congregation died.
