COLLEGE BASKETBALL WCC ROUNDUP : St. Mary’s Wins in Double Overtime

Allen Caveness made two free throws with 13 seconds left in the second overtime to give St. Mary’s a 90-88 victory over San Diego in a West Coast Conference game Saturday night at Moraga, Calif.
The loss eliminated San Diego (16-9 overall, 8-4 in conference play) from contention for the conference title.
Caveness scored a game-high 25 points for the Gaels.
Santa Clara 83, San Francisco 70--LaCoby Phillips scored 22 points to lead the Broncos (16-10, 7-5) at San Francisco.
Ron Reis added 12 points and 12 rebounds for Santa Clara. Darryl Johnson had 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead USF (11-14, 4-8).
