Natural Fertilizers

Coventry Gardens is selling a new line of natural fertilizers. Though many natural fertilizers, such as blood and bone meal, cottonseed meal and others, have been available at nurseries all along, these are more complete products, and their fertilizer value is listed on the front of the cardboard-and-paper packaging--biodegradable, naturally.
For instance, the Rose and Flower Food is labeled 3-6-2, and it contains a mix of bone meal, dried poultry waste, limestone, soft rock phosphate, alfalfa meal, sulfate of potash magnesia, blood meal and kelp meal.
A number of different mixes are available for different purposes. There is even a citrus and avocado food, and one fertilizer uses a natural fertilizer not seen on nursery shelves in a very long time--bat guano, a potent source of nitrogen.
