Chrysler, Hispanic Group Reach Agreement: Chrysler Corp. and the Hispanic Assn. on Corporate Responsibility, a coalition of seven Hispanic-interest groups, have reached an agreement under which the auto maker will increase the number of Hispanic dealers by 10% annually. There are 43 Hispanic-owned dealerships among Chrysler’s 5,197 retailers. The agreement calls on Chrysler to double its purchasing from Hispanic-owned companies, to triple advertising budgets with Hispanic agencies by 1995 and to boost grants to Hispanic colleges, universities and community organizations.
