I can relate to the episode of “Doogie Howser, M.D.” (ABC, Jan. 9) when Wanda’s (Doogie’s girlfriend) mother died. I have recently faced the dilemma that Wanda’s character faced. I am 17 and (my) mother died in the later part of December. I think the episode accurately described the feelings and emotions of a teen-ager who has lost a parent and those people who think we are bottling our emotions.
I really am going to miss my mother, I hate that she’s going to miss out on all those special events in my life. In addition, I think it is ironic that my mother’s name was Wanda.
