STATE : Boy Held for Hurling Dog at Mom
FILLMORE — A 13-year-old boy has been arrested for assaulting his mother--by throwing the family’s tiny Chihuahua at her.
The boy, whose name was not released, was held in the Ventura County Jail. The mother’s identity also was withheld, police said.
The youth is accused of picking up the family pet and throwing it at his mother during a fight Wednesday at the family’s home in unincorporated Piru, 50 miles northwest of Los Angeles, Sheriff’s Lt. Gary Markley said.
“Nobody was hurt, not even the dog,” Markley said.
“I have never seen a Chihuahua assault in my 26 years of law enforcement,” Markley added. The youth was arrested for investigation of battery, cruelty to animals and violating probation, Markley said.
