Master’s Edges Point Loma

Junior forwards Tom Bruner and Stuart Epperson each scored 16 points to lead The Master’s College to an 85-82 basketball win over host Point Loma.

Point Loma’s Frank Dews had a chance to tie the score after making the first free throw in a one-and-one situation with five seconds to play, but he missed on the second attempt. Master’s David Moore got the rebound and was fouled, then hit both free throws to seal the win.

Junior center Steve Riddle led Point Loma with 23 points.
