Clifford Campion, 40, a writer twice nominated for the Humanitas Prize--an award given for humanistic themes--for “Love Mary” on CBS-TV in 1986 and the “Hallmark Hall of Fame” production of the “Marva Collins Story” in 1980, which he also produced. He began in the TV industry as a mail clerk, then became a production assistant on the syndicated series “This Is the Life,” for which he also wrote. His other TV films included “Samaritan,” “Body of Evidence,” “Celebration” and “Ladies of Beverly Hills.” In Los Angeles on Dec. 24 of brain cancer.
