Pasadena : Growth Amendment Vote
An amendment to the Growth Management Initiative will be on the April 16 ballot, the Board of Directors decided Tuesday.
The 10-year measure approved by voters in March, 1989, limits new housing units to 250 a year.
The proposed amendment would allow directors to approve as many or as few units as they choose in any one year as long as the 10-year maximum of 2,500 units is not exceeded.
A city staff report said it is needed to allow more flexibility in new housing.
