Motorcyclist Killed in Lancaster Accident
An unidentified motorcyclist was killed in a collision in Lancaster, the California Highway Patrol reported Tuesday.
The victim, believed to have been about 34, died at Antelope Valley Hospital, CHP Officer Harold Daily said.
The motorcyclist was traveling east on Avenue I approaching Challenger Way about 3:36 p.m. Monday when he hit a car making a left turn in front of him. The victim, who was not wearing a helmet, was thrown into the path of a school bus traveling north on Challenger.
Daily said the bus apparently had no children aboard at the time. The cause of the accident was under investigation.
