Skase Resigns as Chairman of Qintex: Christopher Skase resigned as chairman of Qintex Australia Ltd., a Brisbane, Australia-based resorts and television concern that collapsed in November, 1989. Qintex is being managed by KPMG Peat Marwick, an accountancy and management firm that was appointed as receiver. Skase’s corporate empire faltered soon after he launched an unsuccessful $1.5-billion takeover bid for MGM-UA Communications Co.
