Iraq Bomb
In response to Douglas Frantz’s article “Honeywell Factor in Iraq Bomb” (Column One, Dec. 26):
What Honeywell Inc. did was probably “legal,” but ethically it was terribly wrong! It’s because businessmen refuse to apply an ethics test to every decision that Congress was forced years ago to build up the system of regulatory agencies that Ronald Reagan so despised and did his best to dismantle.
Putting the kind of technology described in Frantz’s article into the hands of any leader in the Mideast is about as morally reprehensible as giving a box of matches to a child and telling him to have a good time!
