Series on Criminal Justice System in Los Angeles
Until we can sweep the streets clean of murderers, rapists and thieves, not one drug user should be arrested, prosecuted or incarcerated. If we immediately oriented our criminal justice system toward protecting people from others rather than themselves, we would have the resources to make people feel they live in a safe society. If for no other reason than enlightened self-interest, legalize drugs.
