FULLERTON : College Provides for Affirmative Action

A former federal government employee who specialized in equal opportunities programs has been named Fullerton College’s first affirmative action officer.
George Beloz, 52, of Corona, will plan and implement the college’s affirmative action program and policies.
A native of Chicago, Beloz previously was a senior management analyst for the federal government’s Defense Contracts Administration in Los Angeles. He has also worked as a grants contractor and education officer for the U.S. Agency for International Development and has been a high school and college teacher.
Beloz received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Illinois State University, majoring in Spanish. He holds a doctorate in education from Southern Illinois University.
