Southland Investors Sued: Two investors were accused of illegal stock trading based on information published in advance copies of Business Week magazine. Stephen Rasinski, a real estate investor from Newport Beach, and Lawrence Small, a former stockbroker from Pacific Palisades, were named in a Securities and Exchange Commission civil lawsuit filed in federal court in Manhattan. The lawsuit seeks more than $195,000 in alleged illegal profits that Rasinski and Small made on trades between September, 1986, and July, 1988, and penalties of up to three times their gains.
