Bomb Attacks Target AF Building, Autos
McCHORD AIR FORCE BASE, Wash. — A firebomb was set off at an Air Force office building early Sunday, and small bombs destroyed two government-owned cars, officials said.
The fire did little damage to the Office of Special Investigations, and no one was injured in the car bombings at this base adjoining Ft. Lewis near Tacoma, said Master Sgt. Gloria Rayford.
No suspects had been identified.
Sgt. Randy Mitchell said FBI agents were assisting in the investigation. Terrorism was not suspected because no note was left nor did anyone call to claim responsibility, Mitchell said.
