SHOO-IN: A fax from Republican Assemblyman Gil Ferguson boasts he was “the leading vote-getter of all state Assembly candidates in a contested race” last week with 82,964. . . . What about GOP Assemblywoman Bev Hansen of Santa Rosa, who got 87,877 against nearly 28,000 for a Libertarian? “That’s not really a contested election,” said Ferguson aide Jim Bieber. “That’s not a major party.” . . . The same might be said of Democrats in Ferguson’s district, where the GOP has a 62% registration majority, largest in the state.
