ON THE JOB: Ken Weir, the Santa Ana test pilot, is still flying, climbing to over 60,000 feet in a U-2 last week. “I’m the only guy over 60 who’s ever been over 60,” he cracked. . . . Lockheed tried to ground Weir when he turned 60, but he sued. Although a Chicago court last week upheld a similar age limit for airline pilots, Weir’s lawyers say they’ll have an easier time. Boeing has agreed to raise its test-pilot age limit, “and we’re negotiating with every other airframe manufacturer,” said a lawyer.
