New Image Industries Loses $956,000 for Quarter
New Image Industries Inc. in Canoga Park reported a fiscal first-quarter loss of $956,000, compared to a profit of $229,000 a year earlier.
The company makes machines that help beauticians, architects, planners and others simulate “before” and “after” images for use in selling their products and services. In the quarter ended Sept. 30, New Image’s loss came on an 18% decline in revenue, to $1.74 million from $2.12 million.
New Image blamed the loss on costs related to its closing of some regional offices and other cutbacks needed to adapt to the company’s drop in revenue.
