Motherly Love
I never read the editorial content of The Times Food pages because Ruth Reichl’s mother and I agree that there are other, and better, things to do in life.
I did, however, trip up on the “Mom Food” (Oct. 18, 1990) features primarily because they were on the page between Ralphs and Von’s ads, pages I always read for--you guessed it--the fastest, cheapest food possible in any given week.
Lynda Barry’s piece was absolutely wonderful, as were all of them!
Thanks. A good concept, well-executed. Probably like an excellent meal, although I wouldn’t know.
