Reuters to Cut 300 Jobs: The international news and financial services agency announced that it will cut 300 jobs, 200 of them in Britain, because of “difficult and unsettled” market conditions. Reuters also said it will delay the launch of Dealing 2000, an improved system for electronically providing foreign exchange information to traders. The layoffs represent 6% of its British payroll and 3% of its worldwide work force.
