U.S. Seeks Syria’s Help in Mideast
So our man (with his hand out) Secretary of State James Baker is headed for Syria, the country responsible for killing 241 American Marines and planting the bomb aboard Pan Am Flight 103 (front page, Sept. 11).
Does President Bush know no shame? Will we suck up to anyone, the devil himself, and sacrifice our young men and women in order to secure a continuous supply of Mideast oil? Is this what our once great nation has become--a profligate nation of cheap oil addicts willing to feed our young to the desire of our addiction? God help us.
