LOCAL : Teen Shot on Way to School

A 16-year-old boy was shot and wounded this morning on his way to register for classes at the John H. Francis Polytechnical High School in Sun Valley, police said.
The victim was accosted and shot shortly before 11 a.m. by two males, police said. The shooting took place near school at 12431 Roscoe Blvd.
The victim was transported by ambulance from the school to Northridge Hospital Medical Center, a Los Angeles City Fire Department spokesman said. His condition was not known this morning.
