She’s an Actor?

On numerous occasions, Calendar has referred to females as actors, not actresses. Are your writers just out of a mediocre high school or is the pendulum of feminism swinging to the other extreme?
I’m afraid that, come Oscar time, we are going to have two categories for best actor and two for best supporting actor.

Calendar usually uses the word actors when referring collectively to men and women. The word actress is used primarily when there is a need to differentiate between the gender of performers.
