MISSION VIEJO — Quarterback Tim Snowden completed 12 of 12 passes for 208 yards and four touchdowns to power Mission Viejo to a 42-12 victory over Long Beach Jordan Friday night.
Snowden, a senior, did all of his damage in the first half to lead the Diablos to a 42-6 lead. Snowden threw his scoring passes to three receivers.
Doug Roberson and Snowden connected on a 40-yard play for a 7-0 lead with 9 minutes 19 seconds left in the first quarter. Roberson, who finished with four catches for 100 yards, caught a 17-yard scoring pass with 16 seconds remaining in the second quarter.
After Mission Viejo took a 7-0 lead, Jordan struck on the next series. Joel Rosborough hauled in a 48-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Johnny Nanson, to make the score 7-6. The Panthers’ extra-point attempt was blocked by Kurt Neuhausen.
The teams traded fumbles in Jordan territory before running back Marcellus Chrishon carried 24 yards for a touchdown to put Mission Viejo up, 13-6.
Snowden then added two more touchdown passes--three yards to Brian Philpott and 34 yards to Anthony Ramirez--in the first quarter for a 28-6 margin.
Chrishon added a three-yard scoring run in the second quarter to cap a nine-play, 83-yard drive with 2:16 left in the second quarter. Chrishon, a senior transfer from Temecula, gained 90 yards on 12 carries, all in the first half.
