Police, responding to an anonymous phone call, found a Los Angeles County man shot to death in a house in the 200 block of San Jacinto Drive, police said.
Vicente Torres-Arandas of El Monte was found Thursday on the kitchen floor in what police called a very active dope house. He had shotgun wounds to the head and left hand, homicide Lt. Paul Ybarrondo said.
According to witnesses, a disturbance broke out on the front lawn between 2 and 3 a.m. Thursday, Ybarrondo said. About 10 people were involved. Shots were fired and cars were heard fleeing.
