SOUTHLAND : Marlon Brando Planned Shrine
Marlon Brando planned to make a shrine out of the room where his daughter’s boyfriend was slain, a lawyer said today during a hearing for the actor’s son, who is charged with murdering the young Tahitian.
Defense attorney Robert Shapiro made the disclosure as he attempted to explain why Brando may have resisted efforts by detectives to reconstruct the crime at the Brando home weeks after the shooting.
Brando’s 32-year-old son, Christian, is charged in the May 16 killing of Dag Drollet, 26, the boyfriend of Cheyenne Brando, who recently gave birth to a boy fathered by Drollet.
“Marlon Brando wanted to turn the room into a memorial for the decedent, light a candle and pay respects and then clean up the blood and get on with his life,” Shapiro said.
