Chris Miller has resigned his positions as football coach and athletic director at Patrick Henry High to spend more time with his family and pursue an administrative credential.
Miller, 40, took over Patrick Henry’s football program in 1987 and led the Patriots to the San Diego Section playoffs three consecutive seasons. He coached at Crawford High from 1981 to 1985 and was a graduate assistant at San Diego State in 1986 under Denny Stolz.
“I’ve been thinking about it the last year,” Miller said, “then all of the sudden, it was time. There was nothing negative about it.”
Miller will continue teaching, possibly at University City High.
