A 2-year-old boy drowned Monday night during a swimming class at the Industry Hills Recreation & Conference Center in the City of Industry.
Frank Brady was pronounced dead at Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina after paramedics took him from the recreation facility shortly after 6:30 p.m. Coroner’s spokesman Robert Dambacher said the cause of death was accidental drowning.
Kathleen Morningstar, the recreation center’s acting general manager, said the boy was in a swimming class at the time of the accident, but would not comment further pending an internal investigation by the facility.
Gloria Brady of Hacienda Heights, the child’s grandmother, said Thursday that the parents were too upset to talk about their son’s death.
