Hungary Will Replace Marxist State Emblem

BUDAPEST, Hungary — The National Assembly voted overwhelmingly today to replace the Marxist state emblem with Hungary’s traditional coat of arms. Lawmakers then burst into a spontaneous singing of the national anthem.
It was the nation’s latest move to erase the legacy of four decades of Communist rule.
