Malibu : Job-Sharing in the Court
A new commissioner has been assigned to Malibu Municipal Court, creating what is said to be the first job-share arrangement of its type in a California court.
Judge Lawrence J. Mira, the court’s presiding judge, has announced that Susan Gamson Karl will join Terry Adamson as a commissioner handling the court’s arraignment, pretrial, traffic and small claims calendar. Each will work three days a week, he said.
A spokesman for the judge said that, with the addition of Karl, the court’s Calabasas branch will open on a full-time basis beginning in August.
