Fairfax : Park Labrea Towing Plan
Starting July 1, the management of the Park Labrea apartments will start towing away cars on the grounds that do not have a resident parking sticker or guest pass on the windshield or dashboard, a spokesman for the residential complex said.
The maze-like streets of Park Labrea, the largest apartment complex in Los Angeles, were closed to the public when a fencing and gating program went into effect earlier this year.
Since then, patrol officers say about 40 cars without proper registration are regularly parked near Park Labrea’s high-rise apartment towers, the spokesman said.
The registration office will be open Saturday to issue windshield stickers. Park Labrea’s 4,200 apartments are home to an estimated 10,000 people.
