Dash For Cash Derby Highlights Sunday Afternoon Card at Los Alamitos
LOS ALAMITOS — The first of five Sunday afternoon racing programs will be conducted today at Los Alamitos with the $111,000 Dash For Cash Derby headlining the card.
The Sunday afternoon racing programs at Los Alamitos are part of an agreement with Hollywood Park that allows the Inglewood thoroughbred track to conduct Friday evening programs.
Heading today’s Grade I Dash For Cash Derby will be Ourautograph, a stakes-winning gelding. A winner of more than $200,000 in his career, including two starts this season, Ourautograph had the fastest qualifying time for the Dash For Cash Derby, finishing the 440-yard June 13 trial in 21.63 seconds.
The Dash For Cash Derby was originally scheduled Saturday night, but track management moved the event to the inaugural daytime program.
Today’s first post will be 1:45 p.m. with 13 races scheduled.
