FLYING FRISBEES: The 17th annual U.S. Open Flying Disc Championships will be held Monday through July 1 at La Mirada Regional Park, 15501 Alicante Road. The event will feature disc golf, freestyle, distance, double disc court, self-taught flight, accuracy and throw-run-catch competitions, and Frisbee-catching dogs.
ART AROUND TOWN: The fifth annual Long Beach Art Expedition, a citywide tour of artists’ studios, museums and galleries, will start at 10 a.m. today from the University Art Museum at Cal State Long Beach and the FHP Hippodrome Gallery.
