Arts Deli, 12224 Ventura Blvd., Studio City. (818) 762-1221. Style: The Valley’s best deli is only a block and a half from the Studio Theater. Setting: Formica and Naugahyde. Recommended: Corned beef sandwich, chicken soup. Cost per person: $10-$15.

Broadway Deli, 1457 Third St. Promenade, Santa Monica. (213) 451-0616. Style: You’ll have a hard time deciding what to order at this foodie boutique; then you have to choose a theater--the Santa Monica or the Broadway? Setting: Exciting. Recommended: Onion soup; macaroni and cheese; beef stew. Cost per person: $12-$25.

Luigi’s Ristorante, 18608 Ventura Blvd., Tarzana. (818) 342-4490. Style: Only two doors down from Mann’s Valley West--a neighborhood restaurant with refreshing treatments of familiar Italian. Setting: Small-town. Recommended: Caponata; turkey sausage sandwich, pasta puttanesca. Cost per person: $12-$17.

Ravel, Sheraton Grande Hotel, 333 S. Figueroa, Los Angeles. (213) 617-1133. Style: You won’t even have to leave the hotel for a creative Continental dinner and a flick at the Laemmle Grande. Setting: Pluuuussssh. Recommended: Capon Madagascar; steak tartare; salmon in filo. Cost per person: $30-$50.
