Exxon Reports Fire at Benicia Refinery: Exxon Corp. said two units of its Benicia refinery in the San Francisco Bay area were shut down as a result of a small fire, but the company declined to say how much gasoline production will be affected. “We have not said what the impact will be on operations,” said Les Rogers, spokesman for Exxon U.S.A. in Houston. “No product supply interruptions are anticipated” from the “operational upset,” he said. A small fire at a lube oil unit Sunday night shut down the catalytic cracking and coker units of the 130,000 barrels-a-day Benicia refinery, Rogers said.
