On behalf of the deaf and hearing-impaired community, we at the Greater Los Angeles Council on Deafness Inc., found the comment by R.E. Neu (Viewers’ Views, May 27) regarding “Twin Peaks” and “closed captions for the stupid” to be very offensive to all of us. We enjoy viewing and getting full benefits of the TV shows that are closed captioned. We also enjoyed “Twin Peaks” very much as we found it to be quite challenging and visually strong.
