The revamping of the Pittsburgh Penguins continued with the appointment of Bob Johnson as coach and Scotty Bowman as director of player development and recruitment.
Johnson, 59, had been executive director of USA Hockey, the governing body for amateur hockey in this country, since resigning as coach of the Calgary Flames in 1987.
