6 Hurt in Newport as 2 Cars Collide
NEWPORT BEACH — Six people were hurt Friday night in a two-car collision that caused one vehicle to overturn at Jamboree Road and Coast Highway, police reported Saturday.
The accident happened about 8 p.m. when a Dodge Colt was turning left in the intersection in front of a Chevrolet Nova. Although two victims were airlifted to emergency hospitals, none of the injuries turned out to be life-threatening, police said.
The rest of the injured were taken to Hoag Hospital, where they were treated and released. Police made no arrests.
