Manufacturers Should Be Careful With ‘Lite’
- Share via
I agree that if some consumers see the word “lite” on a food label, they will probably be more inclined to purchase the product even though the manufacturer did not specify what is actually lite, for example: the calories and the sugar in the product. (“ ‘Lite’ Foods Abound, but Labels Can Confuse,” May 25).
It is to be hoped that the manufacturers will be more careful in labeling what is really “lite” in their products, to help make the consumers more aware of what the product has and able to make decisions according to their liking.
