SIMI VALLEY : Teen-Ager Arrested in Squirt Gun Scare
A Simi Valley teen-ager was arrested Friday after waving a plastic Uzi squirt gun at motorists on the Ventura Freeway, authorities said.
Jess Paul Brown, 18, was being held Friday in the Ventura Jail on suspicion of brandishing a firearm on the highway, the California Highway Patrol said.
The CHP received two separate reports about 8 a.m. of a man waving a gun.
At 12:40 p.m., a commuter flagged down a CHP officer patrolling the Conejo Grade area and said a man in a car had just pointed an Uzi at him.
As they talked, the car and driver that the commuter had described passed them, the CHP said. The officer pulled the car over and found the squirt gun.
He arrested Brown, who matched the description given by two motorists.
