Region : Work on Benedict Canyon
Much of Benedict Canyon Drive will be closed Aug. 1 through mid-December for street resurfacing, Los Angeles and Beverly Hills officials said.
Although the work will be done in the Los Angeles portion of the thoroughfare, Beverly Hills traffic also will be disrupted, since the construction will proceed from Hutton Drive to the Beverly Hills city limit.
Barricades and detour signs will redirect traffic onto other roads across the Santa Monica Mountains, but residents with identification will be allowed onto the street, the officials said.
